Welcome to Shardale Therapeutic Community for Alcohol Rehabilitation
At Shardale it is our mission to create a
therapeutic environment where the necessary conditions are present to
enable individuals to break free from alcohol dependency and to
concentrate on their total recovery. It is our belief that all
individuals already hold within them the resources to be able to end the
psychological and emotional dependency to alcohol. Experience tells us
that is the therapeutic environment which holds the key for individuals
to change, develop and grow. As a committed and caring organisation, we
endeavour to be an integral part of every individual’s journey from
alcoholic dependency towards personal freedom, responsible behaviours
and individuality. Find out more
about us.
Service users here are encouraged to develop and, where possible,
restore positive family relationships, social networks and to work with
other members of the community so as to be active participants in their
own treatment programme. Addressing, and working through, life issues
both past and present, they can develop life skills and behaviours that
enable them to lead a life without alcohol dependency. More information on
our alcohol treatment.
The Shardale team support and guide the whole community to address their
physical, psychological and emotional needs. The majority of decisions,
however, are made by the community as a whole. This way of managing
the community encourages both personal responsibility and decision
making, thus enabling all individuals to strive towards a more
independent and resourceful life. Contact us for more
information.
We at Shardale believe that freedom from alcohol dependency is
achievable by all, regardless of age, gender, race, culture, religious
belief or personal history. See our
notice board for downloadable brochures and
the latest community news.
