Shardale Alcohol Rehabilitation Day Care Facilities
The service is accessible for 12 individuals
currently or previously experiencing dependency to alcohol. Access to
the service, at present, is solely for those who reside within the
Lancashire region.
Funding must be in place prior to commencement of the programme. Funding
may be secured via local authority within the community. Service users
in a position to self-fund can access the service directly. Information
relating to current tariffs can be gained by contacting Shardale
Service users and professionals may access this service by directly
contacting Shardale and speaking to, writing to or
contacting Sharon Mordlock. Individuals must be assessed by the
placing local authority and funding secured prior to Shardale’s own
assessment process. Shardale’s assessments can be carried out within 48
hours of initial contact.
Aims of the service are to empower individuals to abstain from alcohol
and make positive changes within their life; to educate service users in
all aspects of alcohol dependency; to provide ongoing support via
delivery of specialist therapeutic interventions within a safe and
nurturing environment; to encourage service users through ongoing
psychological/emotional support to take responsibility, not only for
difficult situations that they may be in, but also their own recovery
process.
